Meadow Park described in simple terms, is a 44 acre packet of orphaned farmland, surrounded by developpment on three sides and the Great Central Railway on the other. The Kingston Brook disects it from east to west and is joined at the eastern edge by the Sheepwash Brook. However, this somewhat bland description hides so much about the place and the wider area that surrounds it. In reality it is an oasis of rural charm in the centre of a rapidly growing development that was once a real village and it is the gateway to some of the loveliest countryside for miles around. It is the rural heart of East Leake and we should never, ever take it for granted if we care about it for future generations.
